On 7 November, Kerry Logistics, a leading logistics service provider in Asia, took the premier title of ‘Supply Chain Partner of the Year’ at the Supply Chain Asia Awards 2013 in Hong Kong. The award is the highest possible compliment that the industry can bestow as it is a ‘best of the best’ award which is voted by Kerry Logistics’ peers.
George Yeo, Chairman of Kerry Logistics Network Limited said: “This is a major honour for Kerry Logistics to be recognized for the top award at the region’s leading supply chain event. We would like to thank our customers, the shippers who voted for us and the professional panel of judges.”
“This award reflects our successful development as a leading logistics service provider, engaging in the integrated logistics and international freight forwarding businesses. We serve more than 40 of the Top 100 Best Global Brands. We have grown to more than 400 service locations in 35 countries and territories across Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South Americas.” added William Ma, Managing Director of Kerry Logistics Network Limited.
To win the top award of ‘Supply Chain Partner of the Year’, the selection process involved three secret rounds of voting. In the first round the top six companies in the overall corporate awards were selected via anonymous voting. In the second round three out of the six companies were selected. In the third round the judges, comprising industry leaders, including supply chain academics and shippers, selected the winner from the three finalists. The corporate award categories were: Global 3PL, Asian 3PL, Freight Forwarder, Distribution Centre Innovation, Supply Chain Solution Innovation, and Green Supply Chain of the Year.
In 2012 Kerry Logistics won the Asian 3PL of the Year Award for the second consecutive year despite strong competition from a group of finalists that included other leading global logistics companies.
This year’s award for ‘Supply Chain Partner of the Year’ award, Kerry Logistics had to satisfy the judges in a range of stringent criteria including demonstrating the company’s global network and coverage, growth and development strategy, operational performance in year 2012, customer service and product innovations.
The company strives to continue to provide effective solutions to support its customers’ long-term growth in the future.
