Kerry Logistics has set up a joint venture with Mosskito Logistics in Australia to tap into the cold chain distribution segment in Australia. The joint venture has been rebranded as Kerry Logistics Cold Chain.

Kerry Logistics Cold Chain operates a fleet of over 30 reefer trucks involved in the distribution of food and pharmaceuticals throughout the metro and regional area of Victoria State in South West Australia.

“This is a major step forward for Kerry Logistics in the cold chain distribution sector in Australia. We are looking to use the new company as a platform to expand our cold chain business throughout Australia and offer a vertically integrated FMCG supply chain model to the rapidly expanding Asian market,” said Kelvin Mason, Executive Director, Australia, Kerry Logistics.

The company has two cold storage facilities located in Melbourne and Bendigo respectively. The business represents a number of major brands in the food and pharmaceutical industry sectors.
